A culinary school graduate, she worked at Jean George’s ABCv and Eleven Madison Park.

Dammara and her husband Sam made Aliya in 2021 and they currently split their time between New York and Israel. They enthusiastically host Shabbat meals, holiday events and wine tastings at their home in Tel Aviv. Following October 7th, 66,000+ educators utilized our Israel in Crisis: Educator Community Resource Hub

We brought 250+ Jewish educators to Israel to bear witness and incorporate learnings into their curriculums at home

3,000+ RootOne teen alumni and parents engaged weekly with resources related to Israel and mental health

We offer hundreds of webinars, conferences, and professional development tools for early childhood, teen, congregational, and day school educators.

We work with several New York area schools to promote an inclusive environment, ensure accurate instruction related to Jewish issues, and prevent bias and discrimination.

The Jewish Education Project believes in the transformative power of Jewish education. We support educators and families in Jewish and secular schools as they navigate antisemitism and strengthen Jewish identity in today’s youth.

Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks

Dammara, we are privileged to honor you tonight. We applaud your dedication to The Jewish Education Project, both as a former Young Pioneer and now as an exemplary Board member. Whether in Israel or New York, we rely upon your insights and support to drive our work forward, as together we secure and strengthen the Jewish future!

Karen & DAVID Everett

Dammara, you bring the same degree of innovation and commitment to your role as an educator as you do to your role as a Board member. It's totally impressive how you manage to make every meeting, even if it’s EDT in the evening, while you are in Israel … and even then, not only are you present but you are engaged. We salute the impact you continue to make on the field of Jewish education!
