instilled in her a deep appreciation for education, tikkun olam, and community engagement. Giselle serves on The Jewish Education Project’s Executive Committee, chairs the Governance Committee, and actively contributes to Nominations, HR, Advancement, and Strategy initiatives.
Giselle’s early education at Denver’s Hillel Academy ignited her passion for Jewish learning. She earned master's degrees in Organizational Behavior and Applied Psychology from Boston University, which fueled a successful corporate and consulting career, including her role as Vice President of Global Human Resources and Technology at Merrill Lynch, where she honed expertise in strategy and governance.
Giselle has served in leadership positions across numerous Jewish organizations such as The Leffell School, AIPAC New Leadership Network, AIPAC Women’s Council, J-Teen, and more. She continues to serve on the boards of the JCC of Mid-Westchester, UJA’s Network Allocations Committee, and UJA Westchester Advisory Board, where she is the immediate past chair.
Giselle and her husband, Alan, are the proud parents of three incredible children—Lauren, Jack, and Nicole—all graduates of The Leffell School. Their children’s active involvement in Jewish life underscores the family’s strong foundation in Jewish education and values.

more than 10 years. 2025 is her final year of dedicated board service at the agency. Louise’s innovative spirit and visionary leadership have been pivotal in reimagining The Jewish Education Project’s advancement work and positioning the agency for its next chapter.
Louise grew up in Michigan before moving to the tristate area where both sets of grandparents served as role models that inspired her lifelong passion for Jewish communal work and Jewish education. Her maternal grandfather was involved in the New Jersey Board of Jewish Education for many years. Her paternal grandfather was president of his Bronx shul for 25 years. Advocacy for Jewish education is a part of Louise’s family legacy and one that she’s proudly continued. Her three adult children graduated from The Ramaz School, and her grandchildren are currently enrolled at The SAM School preschool.
Louise is also active in UJA Federation of New York and other philanthropic endeavors. She lives on the Upper East Side of New York with her husband Sidney where they are longtime members of Kehilath Jeshurun.
